Style Scene: Don't Sweat it!

I love this trend! It's quite a youthful trend and again, both the guys and girls can rock this.  So yes, you can sweat this trend to the ground.  As much as I love a designer piece, there are thousands of cheaper options.

Get creative, find some solid, well fitted sweatshirts and iron on your own designs!

KENZO started it this trend...They cropped it!  All hail KENZO!

EYEWEAR LOVE AFFAIR...

I know most ladies know how to shop for sunglasses.  However, my gents apparently aren't as well versed on understanding their eyegear, unless you happen to have a face shape that easily accommodates to most sunglasses styles, which most people do not.  Here is a guide and some tips to help you look shady all summer long...



THE SHAPE GAME: What's yours?

After you have determined which is your face shape, more or less, it's time to see which style best reflects you.



THE DETAILS LOWDOWN: There are oh so many to choose from.  Stay true to your own taste.

The Cop - Mirrored: I like these most in the aviator style, they act as a mirror when you need to check yourself out at the beach. Wear with swimgear and suits, it actually works for both. And you look like you can potentially be in an episode of Cops!  












The Professor - Tortoiseshell:  Most men look good in these style.  The tortoiseshell is a vintage classic and much more sophisticated.  Almost all styles come in tortoiseshell.











The All American - Ray Ban Classics: These take you everywhere and will never go out of style.  They tend to run narrow and so hard to fit the wider face shapes.











The Athlete - Oakley's: These are exclusively for working out and running outdoors.  Please do not wear these out like your every day pair of sunglasses. They are not!







There are many other styles that I did not list here, I personally just do not like them. You can try your luck!  I hope this style session is helpful guys.

Street Style: Camo + Bleached Out Denim

Wearing camouflage can be pretty tricky (and sometimes even impossible!). Stylish and always casual-cool Mohcine of Morocco shows us how to sport the print the right way without looking like you’re ready to get your Rambo on. What the Team at Scoop NYC Wears to Work

This week, we take you to the Scoop NYC headquarters. With stores that are merchandised as the "Ultimate Closet," it's no wonder that the team behind it appears to have envy-inducing closets of their own. Have a look at their ultra-stylish, typical work outfits below.

Jeffrey Cedeno, Executive Assistant to CEO/Office Manager: I like to describe my personal style as urban chic. I am a New Yorker, and have become accustomed to dressing for all seasons. I love combining a rustic pair of leather boots with a brand new blazer, creating a modern silhouette with visual interest. I dress with the idea that if I hop on a plane in New York to Paris and Paris to Tokyo, I would be debonair in all cities.

Style advice: Layering, along with mixing and matching patterns with texture, are key style guides. Also remember that not everything will fit right off the hanger, so tailoring is a must for the well-groomed man.

Susan Davidson, CEO: I would characterize my personal style as timeless, fashionable, and modern, while always trying to reflect the style of our brand. I definitely have a work uniform: a designer jacket and coat, skinny leather pants or jeans, high-heeled boots, and my favorite scent—Serge Lutens Fleur d'Oranger.

Style advice: Always wear figure flattering clothes, dress fashionably but not overly trendy, and remove one accessory before walking out the door.

Heidi Hoelzer, Vice President/General Merchandise Manager, Women's: Tomboy chic—I like an easy, effortless look with a bit of rock 'n' roll. Jeans, T-shirt, and a leather jacket is the perfect everyday look for me.

Style advice: Learn to love layers: They elevate your look and allow you to go from day to night much easier. Always keep a back-up outfit at the office, and don't try too hard—it shows.

Simone Segall, Product Development Buyer (left): My personal style is a bit schizophrenic. I don't have a specific style, I just make things work. Maybe you'd call it edgy with a feminine touch? People tell me that I make somewhat crazy pieces work, but I always mix them with simple, timeless basics so it all comes together.

Style advice: Mix it up. Always add an unexpected element to your wardrobe. Mix old with new, don't get caught on a trend, and never second guess.

Gabriela Barreto, Buyer for Women's Ready to Wear (right): Downtown chic. I don't need expensive things to look like I am dressed to the nines. I have a designer's eye, so it doesn't matter if it's H&M or Céline, It's just how you wear it and the tiny details that make it your own. I think mixing contemporary vendors with designer keeps my look fresh and refined.

Style advice: Choose your clothing wisely. Don't buy disposable trendy items. Look for things you're attached to, and can't leave behind.

Derek Klamerus, Men's Merchandise Assistant: The majority of my wardrobe is made up of effortless, timeless basics. A sweater is the first thing I reach for each morning. I own our SCP cashmere crew in nearly every color, and love to wear them alone or as a tee under another shirt. I have worn the same brand and cut of jeans for years: A.P.C.'s "New Standard." They are a staple in my closet, and I own several pairs. Accessories inject life and seasonality into my outfits. A bright sock, interesting bracelet, cool shoe, or a luxurious bag immediately elevates a casual look.

 Meaghen Stark, Marketing and Events Manager: I like to describe my personal style as feminine with an edge, peppered with rock 'n' roll, and always a little on the dark side.

Style advice: Invest in key pieces that define your personal style and develop a go-to uniform. Every day is another opportunity to express yourself, so put your best fashion forward!

Jennifer Hawkins, Assistant Buyer for Women's Ready to Wear: My style is egalitarian. One day I might be hippie dippie, the next a little rock 'n' roll, and the following a Williamsburg hipster. It's fun to mix my favorite flea market and vintage finds with my designer splurges! I don't like limiting myself by committing to just one style.

Style advice: Never say you can't pull a look off—you might pleasantly surprise yourself. If it doesn't work out, try another and hopefully it is about more trials than errors!
