VANS FOR ROBERT VERDI

Surprise By Design

I just about died when I saw these shoes that Vans custom made for Robert Verdi, modeled after his personal collection of Hermés scarves. Vans + Hermés + Robert Verdi?! I vote for a collaboration!

INES FIGAREDO BAG ART

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of running into the mastermind behind these unique and eccentric handbags. Inés Figaredo, a former lawyer turned designer, aims to explore bags as an art form. And man, is she on point! Each piece is conceptualized using nature and the imagination as inspiration and they are then handmade in Spain with the finest leather and materials such as 18k gold plated fittings.

NICOLE ROMANO RESORT 2013

http://nicoleromano.com/

Nicole Romano‘s resort collection, inspired by estate jewelry, vintage glass carved stones, and antique crystals, proves that everything old becomes new again. Her work was discovered by Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field several years ago and was featured frequently in both the series and movies. Honestly, what’s good enough for Ms. Bradshaw is good enough for me! Be sure to score first dibs on this stunning collection over at Moda Òperandi before August 20th!

TRIWA + Dominic Tiffany Wilcox

Last season TRIWA collaborated with two of our favorite street artists Supakitch & Koralie to create a small collection of watches. Recently the Swedish watchmakers worked closely with British artist and designer Dominic Wilcox to create three pieces of artwork inspired by this season’s timepieces. The miniature scenes represent the process of watch production from the delivery of parts to the assembly and refinement. Dominic says “I’ve always liked the idea of little people living in a secret miniature world.” So cool!

CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL

FOR THE GENTLEMEN...

I'm sure the future holds many shiny, bright, exciting and youthful possibilities for the Cambridge Satchel Company and I look forward to lusting after many of their new and exciting collaborations, designs as well as other products such as their storage trunks and school badges.

Maybe even in the not-too-distant future I will even own my own satchel from the British company but knowing my penny-pinching ways I will most likely be searching high and low for discount bargains on the Internet as my source. I hope I've given you all something to think about and something to aspire towards owning.
