A Royal Flush
How killer are these playing card clutches, made by Urania Giourmetaki for her label Urania Gazelli? Working out of her family’s plexiglass factory in Greece, it takes up to 12 hours for Urania to hand craft each clutch and even longer for custom pieces. Can’t wait to what other tricks the Greek designer has up her sleeve!

ANNDRA NEEN

What started out as a unique jewelry line, founded in 2009 by Phoebe and Annette Stephens, has now evolved to include a collection of metal handbags. Not only were the sisters influenced by their own professional backgrounds in the arts, their grandparents provided much inspiration to the Anndra Neen aesthetic and approach. Their grandmother was the artist and jewelry maker Annette Nancarrow and their grandfather was the avant-garde composer Conlon Nancarrow; the two lived in Mexico City in the 1930s and ’40s and were friends with the likes of Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Anaïs Nin. Each of these incredibly unique clutches are hand crafted by blacksmiths and artisans in the sisters’ native Mexico.

INES FIGAREDO BAG ART

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of running into the mastermind behind these unique and eccentric handbags. Inés Figaredo, a former lawyer turned designer, aims to explore bags as an art form. And man, is she on point! Each piece is conceptualized using nature and the imagination as inspiration and they are then handmade in Spain with the finest leather and materials such as 18k gold plated fittings.
