Re-imagining Kenzo

One of my favorite shows from the Spring 2012 collections was the “new” Kenzo - which was taken over by creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the geniuses behind Opening Ceremony. Which, of course, explains why there’s a certain wacky & fun edge to the all the pieces. I couldn’t help but feel that the setting for these knock-out outfits was slightly bland, so I decided to re-imagine some of my favourite looks in decidedly different scenery…

ROBIN BECKER ~ photo collage painting

Robin was one of the many talented artists I had the pleasure of interacting with at this year's International Art Expo held at the Manhattan piers.  Her work caught my eye because of it's juxtaposition of photography and art and vibrant colors.  Her themes are doorways, which to me symbolize new beginnings.  I also love that she had many works that featured store windows, as fashion is indeed my passion.

I hope you enjoy!
