RAINBOW BRIGHT

OH NATURE...SO PERFECT YOU ARE!

Rainbow Eucalyptus is one of Nature’s absolutely coolest trees showing off a true rainbow of colors. This tree is the only species of eucalyptus that grows in the northern hemisphere and isnormally grown for its pulpwood, used to create white paper. But why does it look like it’s been painted? The secret behind the Rainbow Eucalyptus is actually pretty simple: the trees shed multiple patches of bark every year, but not at the same time. As the patches are gone, the green inner bark is exposed, and as it matures it turns bluish, then orange, purple and maroon. This creates the rainbow effect that makes these trees so incredible.

Bon Appétit Magazine: FOOD & FASHION

I’m really excited to share the first Food & Fashion Mash-Ups series I did for Bon Appétit Magazine! Which is a superb publication by the way. Something i really appreciated was the beautiful design & layout of each issue – admittedly the first thing i look for in a magazine. I especially loved their story The Incredible Egg and the Insider’s Guide to Paris in their latest issue. Here's the Food & Fashion Mash-Up collaboration with Bon Appétit. Who wouldn't want to look like a cream puff… I ask you.

COLOUR COMPARISONS

Out of all the fashion weeks i find Milan to be the most fun – mostly because of my ever favorite italian design houses Marni, Prada and Missoni… my favorite FAVORITE favorite collection by far, ever, possibly in the history of all fashion weeks, was Dolce & Gabbana. which surprises no one more than myself because I've never been a big D&G fan.

Just one quick glance over the entire collection and a myriad of things come to mind: summer holidays, the Italian riviera, hammocks, umbrellas, summer heat, ripe fruit, cold drinks, seaside stripes – as if all the facets of a dream holiday had come together in one hot delicious melting pot wardrobe. and the best thing is that it’s all so wearable. the dresses have beautiful flattering silhouettes (tucked waists & flowing skirts! yes!) not to mention the detail that went into every fabric and every accessory (those shoes! those bags! those earrings!).

So I did a colour comparison instead. matching some of my favourite Dolce & Gabbana outfits to vintage travel posters, so that you can dream about going to exotic destinations and looking awesome at the same time.
